In 2018 Speakers School partnered with the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre, Thunder Bay Shelter House and Kii Kwae Win to run a summer program. Funded by Trillium the program was extremely well received.

Maamaawisiiwin Education Research Centre conducted an evaluation.
